Courage and Confidence

Dear Almighty God,
I stand in awe of Your greatness and long for the confidence that only You can give. It seems that no matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to do things as well as others. I know that You have given me many talents, but I lack the courage to step out of my comfort zone and use them. And yet, I long to be a soul-winning tool for You. So I am asking You to fill me with your courage.
As Jeremiah 32:17 declares, " ' "Ah, Lord God! Behold, ... There is nothing too hard for You." ' " And Job 42:1, 2 tells me, " 'I know that You [Lord] can do everything.' " You even gave Your disciples authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). I am asking for that same kind of power. You know what I am facing and that I am feeling inadequate. In fact, I'm downright scared!
Thank You for reminding me in 2 Chronicles 20:15 that the battle is Yours -- not mine. I am empowered by Your words in Deuteronomy 31:6 that I should be " 'strong and courageous ... for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.' " Wow! What a promise! Thank You, Lord, for always being with me. With You by my side, I never need to fear!
Heavenly Father, please replace all my feelings of intimidation and inadequacy with Your courage and confidence. May I go forward with holy boldness! I place all my faith and trust in You. In Your holy name I pray.
        AMEN.
