Kicked Off Memorial Day Weekend With A Bungee Jump

We decided to go the Orange Festival in San Bernadino and immediately when we walked in the gates, the  Bungee Jump was calling Derek's name. I would have never known he was scared because he seems so calm, cool, and collected on the outside but he was looking for an out because his heart starting pounding just thinking about it. They said $40.."ahh that's too much" he says, they say "we will do it for $25" and now he knew he had to do it, there was no backing out. Derek's reaction to stress always involves yawning and stretching and it is pretty funny, his way of seeming relaxed when he is completely not. Anytime we have a fight, he starts yawning, it is soooo annoying and hilarious at the same time (but not at the time, haha). He kept doing the yawn stretch, I was cracking up. He is so funny becasue he puts up this I'm not scared front and doesn't even tell me how scared he really was until we were at Sushi that night and he finally processes the big event. He said when he handed over the credit card he had to drop it and pull his hand back to shake it off cuz he was starting to tremble. When he was standing on the ledge, he said his heart stopped and for a second thought he might  have a heart attack. You will see the poor girl after him showing on the outside how Derek was feeling on the inside. Haha. I got some great close ups of her!

Going to the fair brought back all sorts of childhood memories for me and gave me a few good laughs and smiles. Growing up we had a fair in August and as a kid you pretty much just camped out there for the week. Free babysitting for most parents I guess. Every year I would play this gold fish game where you would throw balls into little glass jars and after you won 7 gold fish you could trade them in for a bunny, which I would always do because last years bunny always died (clearly we must not have been doing proper bunny care giving them milk and carrots and not sticking to strictly bunny food?? I still don't know why they always died except one little grey one was blind and didn't have a chance. Looked adorable sitting there in the cage like a good bunny when I picked him, but poor bugga never moved to even find food, must have been so scared.) My dog Raggs was constantly drooling over the bunnies in attempts to kill them and one year I brought home a baby chic which thought I was its mommy and followed me around everywhere (cuz we let it in the house) It would peep like crazy until it could find me. I was very proctective over the chic and knew to always keep Ragg's seperate but one day I had to leave and told mom very firmly to not let them outside together without watching and she did for just a minute which I knew was a no no and Ragg's broke the chics neck. It was a huge ordeal and I was soo mad at mom who was crying her eyes out. She knew she made a Booboo and I was very attached to my Chic and very angry at her for not paying attention. I was a bit of an "animal whisperer" as a child haha,  avid golden retriever breeder (whole other story). Love to play mama like I do with all your kids now !  We grew up on 24 acres in the country so I just played on my little animal farm all day and was quite happy.

We had horses so my sister was going to "show" our pony one year and my crazy dad and her road the horses 11 miles into town because we didn't have a trailor. This is not normal and borderline white trash, haha. They show up and the horses are dehydrated, drenched in sweat, and not exactly "best in show." It was hilarious, I remember standing by the fence just laughing at my sister becasue the pony didn't listen to her at all and she said go left, pony went right, trot and she would walk. It was one stubborn little paint horse pony, but my sister isn't exactly the horse whisperer.

When I was in 6th grade, this boy Mckenzie was crazy for me and would embarress me and make me mad in all sorts of ways at the fair by constantly buying me chocolates, flowers, and fair foods, and prizes. I would yell at him to stop, give it all away, or eat it all and tell him to leave me alone. Poor boy was constantly trying to win my 6th grade heart over, but with Derek I had to win my own monkey and beat him at a game to do it. HAHA. He makes me work for it, guess that how he keeps me around ;)

FUNNEL CAKE!? Derek didn't even know what it was, I was in shock so I couldn't wait for him to try it. So fun to show him a whole new world sometimes haha, I love it. Of course Mr. Picky didn't like it so I had to eat it, but at least he tried. We also bought chocolate covered bacon which is gross but he loves bacon and wanted to try it. Yes, definately a confirmed gross. He like the first piece and then was sick because he ate most all of it. Wouldn't be a fair if you didn't get sick on the food. (We had a nacho stand at the fair one year, haha. Yep, your basic nacho cheese sauce and round TORTILLA Chip, say like a hick, as in quesadilla). He also tried my Salmon Skin hand roll over sushi and got mad at me for making him try it, haha. He had to spit it in his napkin and I had to buy him alcohol to appease him, Haha. Neither one of us ever want to try the other person's food because we often don't like the same food but we both are always trying to force the other to try our stuff. Never turns out good. He told me if I eat his teri chicken, tempura roll he had the guy make that he would massage me (the usual bribe...it ALWAYS works). Of course I did not like it.

Our Mama Has Found True Love!

Click Here to See the Magic Of Our Madre
I completely scored not only because she did such as amazing job raising a son matched perfect for me and with a twinkle in his eye but because I can't imagine a better mother in law/best friend to have in my life.  She is always there for us for everything and seems to have the perfect thing to say and prayer to pray. We are blessed beyond measure for all that she is. Finally God has brought to her the true love she has always deserved and Del is her "perfect match!" We are soooo happy for them, I think they are probably almost the the 1 year mark, time fly's ! How cute are they together!?!

Kimbery is have a YABY and that's no spelling error!

Wow! You have to see this... Impressive or Insane, I'm not sure which! HAHA ;) I certainly would like her to be my trainer but don't have her motivation, as a matter of fact I know I don't. I think I will be signing up for a class or two from the master. Little Yoga Baby (Yaby) is going to be something special. You would never believe this was taken yesterday and her due date is June 3rd. She has had a great pregnancy and everything is going perfect and moving along as scheduled. Knowing Kimberly, the doctor told her the due date is June 3rd so I imagine on the 3rd around noon, she will tell little Yaby its time to come into the world and it will go just like that.

Crazy For Your Babies

We love our nieces and nephews to pieces. They are all just precious angels, so unique in different ways and each one melts our heart. They bring so much joy to our life, loads of personality, and we love that our family just keeps growing. Two June Baby girls are on their way and I can barely wait!

NEWSFLASH: Mom and Dad are moving back to the mainland!

It's Official.....Sad to leave Hawaii but excited for their adventures ahead. What an experience it has been for them filled with romance, adventure, and lots of good ole fashion hard work in Hawaii, but there is something about grandbabies that just keeps nagging at them. The thought of having 3 baby girls in Boise is too much for them to bear. It may be for a week, month, 6 months, A Year or 5, Seasonal, You never know with them. That is the beauty of their spontaneity and why we love they oh so much!

Just look at my little Kanen, I mean Derek!
